About Us

VirtualClinic is a not-for-profit initiative of the Clinical Research Unit for Anxiety and Depression (CRUfAD) at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, Australia and the School of Psychiatry, University of New South Wales, Australia. VirtualClinic was previously called ClimateClinic.

VirtualClinic is an Internet-based clinic that aims to develop and evaluate free education and treatment programs for people with anxiety and depressive disorders who cannot readily access face to face treatment.

If you wish to be part of our research studies you have come to the right place at VirtualClinic. But in case you are being referred for treatment from your GP, please go to www.crufadclinic.org. Or, if you are looking for The Anxiety Disorders Clinic, an outpatient clinic in central Sydney that runs a free 10-week course, please visit www.crufad.org.

At VirtualClinic we are currently developing and testing new programs for:

  • Depression (the Sadness Program)
  • Generalized anxiety disorder (the Worry Program)
  • Social phobia (the Shyness Program)
  • Panic disorder (the Panic Program)
  • People with one or more anxiety disorders (the Anxiety Program)
  • People with symptoms of anxiety and depression (the Wellbeing Program)

Please read the material on this website, feel free to contact us with any questions and comments, and consider applying to join a program.
